Porn 101: Industry Lingo Part 2

I knew it would happen. A little while after I published my last Porn 101 article on Industry Lingo, some other phrases and things popped into my head. So, let’s just get right into it shall we.

Gay for Pay or G4P – Pretty self-explanatory but it’s the phrase used for performers who work with members of the same sex, purely for the money they get for the scene. Personally I think the term is a bit odd because when it is applied to women who perform in girl/girl porn, it should really be “bi for pay”. I say this because there aren’t that many girl/girl only performers that are straight. They are either bi or lesbian. The male equivalent though makes sense because a lot of straight guys have done gay porn because it pays better than straight porn.

Suitcase Pimp – The phrase used to describe a female performer’s husband, boyfriend or just a male friend, that carries all of her stuff around in a suitcase. This includes everything from different outfits to wet naps so that she can clean herself up after a scene. This is usually meant in a derogatory way. Sometimes the guy tries to act like a big shot by trying to tell the director how the scene will go.

Well, that will be all for now. More to come soon.
